SCAR CAMOUFLAGE
Scar Camouflage Tattooing, also referred to as Paramedical Tattooing, is a form of Permanent Body Tattoo designed to conceal and camouflage scars on the body. Think 'Permanent Concealer'. By matching specifically formulated tattoo inks to your exact skin tone, we are able to effectively camouflage the area by blending the tattoo in. This procedure differs from traditional tattooing as it is done very delicately and precisely, in order to blend perfectly, and also to ensure no further damage to the skin. In this particular picture shown here as an example, this is the result immediately after only one session of camouflage tattoo, on a client who had experienced a burn on her forehead. Typically results are noticeable after the first session, though on average, clients can expect to need 2-3 sessions before desired results are achieved.

What happens if you tan?
Tanning your natural skin around the area will not tan your tattoo. Your tattoo will remain the colour it is, but the skin around will tan. Because of this, the scar may appear slightly visible again, however, it will still be significantly reduced in appearance compared to before the tattoo.

This procedure is often done in a series of treatments, beginning with Collagen Induction Therapy with a combination of serums to improve the overall texture (and therefor, appearance) of your strecth marks. Sessions are completed 6-8 weeks apart and the amount of sessions needed will vary on a case by case basis. The area will appear inflamed and irritated for a period after the procedure, and results are not noticeable immediately. At the end of treatment, a camouflage tattoo may be preformed if necessary to add to the overall enhancment of the area, to be discussed during treament.
